Victoria Regina: four plays
Laurence Housman wrote 30 short plays1 about Queen Victoria. They comprise a biography of her reign, from her accession in 1857 to her Diamond Jubilee in 1897.
Out of these 30 plays, Granada has produced four hour-long programmes which cover the ‘seasons’ of the Queen’s life. They will be shown on successive Fridays.
